I was hiking in the north Cascades and had to use one of those wooden toilets they put out there, we had hiked into a group of high mountain lakes and the area was just absolutely swarming with mosquitoes. I had no choice but to go do a number 2 and the mosquitoes were just dive bombing me the entire time, taking advantage of my vulnerable state, it was horrible.

This is why I much prefer the high desert. Yes, you can't do much over Summer except early mornings, but no bugs!

I made a natural bug repellent with clove, lemon, peppermint & cinnamon oils. We live in East Texas where the humidity is brutal & the wasps think humans are flowers. This stuff works great! On plants too

take two vitamin b1 tablets about 15 minutes before you go out and the mosquitos will leave you alone. your skin will secrete the aroma of the vitamin which mosquitos don’t like.
